i’m afshan, an iranian-born designer now based in california.
my work lives at the intersection of home, decorative arts, and heritage.
i work in residential design, where my love for storytelling through space, objects, colors, and patterns is nurtured. alongside my home-design journey, i create hand-printed artworks inspired by my iranian heritage.
by looking at persian art through the centuries, i create a new reading of motifs found in stone carving, stucco reliefs, tiles, pottery, and handmade rugs, showing the warmth and symbolism of iranian art while weaving in a cosmopolitan feel of color.
