The eight-petal flower is among the most enduring motifs in ancient Iranian art. Inspired by stone reliefs from the Achaemenid to the Sassanian periods, Harmony symbolized eternity, harmony, and the cycles of life. Rooted in Mesopotamian traditions and refined in Persia, the motif later flourished in Islamic art, evolving into intricate geometric and floral patterns adorning tiles, textiles, and architectural ornament.
