“Niloofar” is a twelve-petal flower motif drawn from architectural carvings at Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire (550–330 BCE) in present-day Iran.
In ancient Persia, the twelve-petal form was often associated with the lotus or sun symbol, representing renewal, harmony, and the rhythm of time. Its repetition evokes natural cycles, such as the twelve months of the year.
