Niloofar in Blossom | Heritage Print

Niloofar is a twelve-petaled water lily rosette drawn from the stone carvings of Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. In ancient Persia, its radial form was a piece of sacred geometry, with the petals mirroring the twelve months of the year. This symmetrical motif is a timeless emblem of harmony, continuity, and the quiet rhythm of renewal.

I named this color palette Blossom to capture the feeling of a sunlit meadow filled with blooming wildflowers, pairing soft pink with vibrant, grassy green. The rhythmic repeat of the motif and the subtle character of hand-block printing bring a quiet sense of calm to the piece. A visual reminder of nature’s untamed beauty and seasonal flow.
